All men’s souls are immortal, but the souls of the righteous are immortal and divine.

2617. For the last ten years, the world’s been falling apart. It’s the end of life as all humans know it and it all began with the Titans springing from their once-eternal cell, deep in Tartarus. From its depths came the strongest, the parents of the gods, and they reached up towards the heavens and made their across the Earth. The dark and grey skies clap with thunder and alights with the flashes of Zeus’ lightning. The gods attempt to battle for their home on Olympus, and the fight for heaven wages on.

We are at a good balance so we’re accepting both females and males! We’ve got more than 40 characters total and we are EXTREMELY active. We have both characters that have been canon since the beginning, and we also just rescued a couple of people from the Underworld that are up for grabs. So check them out, we’re always looking for new people! We need Demigods and we’ve got many gods open!

College Major: Musical Theatre

Bio: Since Marissa was a young girl she’d wanted to act and sing - it was all she’d ever wanted in life; a successful career as a musical theatre performer. Of course New York was the first place she headed once she’d finished up high school in Brisbane, Australia. She’d miraculously got in to NYU into the Musical Theatre course, an achievement she took great pride in. Marissa had always been the lovable ditz, she’d never had an enemy and never been short of friends - something she hoped would continue into college. Leaving Australia and moving to a brand new country without any friends or family was a big event for Marissa, but one she welcomed with open arms.

Sample: Marissa hopped off the plane at the airport, and went straight outside to hopefully catch a taxi. She didn’t have time to waste checking out her surroundings - she’d be here for the next four years, she’d have plenty of time for that. Instead she stood out in the taxi rank, and waited, frantically waving her arms for one to stop for her. It was only when one finally did, and she hopped inside with all her luggage that she had time to really reflect on the fact that she was finally there, in New York City, on her way to NYU; one of the most prestigious colleges around.

She leaned back into the cab’s back seat, and relaxed slightly, looking out the window in awe of the big apple. “Um, NYU is where I’m headed, thanks”, she said, her Australian accent sounding even thicker in contrast to the cab drivers New Yorker one.

“You from down under, here for college?” he asked her.

“Yeah I am, the big apple’s the place to be!”, she replied.

“Planning on making it big here, are we?”, he asked her with a smile.

“Yep! Well that’s the plan anyway”, she sighed.

Character name: Valkyrie Chaillet

Bio: Valkyrie grew up in a small, loving, close knit family in the Upper East Side of New York City. Living in one of most affluent parts of town, the Chaillets lived very comfortably. Robert and Petra Chaillet both rose from the ashes of the middle class, devoting their lives to raising a well-rounded, kind daughter with wholesome values. Though incredibly wealthy, it hasn’t gone to Valkyrie’s head. Yet.

Valkyrie is all over the board. She is kind, caring, and energetic. She genuinely cares for other people and their feelings, is generally happy and bubbly. Ready to converse and make friends with anyone, Valkyrie’s exterior is all ‘Puff. But deep within her lies a snake. She isn’t conniving, or malicious. But she is clever, quick, and cunning. Sarcastic and fiery, she will cut anyone down with a few well chosen words. She tries her hardest, but she cannot stop the flow of judgmental comments when she is alone. Though somewhat hypocritical, she really does try hard to be nice to everyone and to accomodate everyone’s needs. A sensitive soul, Valkyrie is easily offended, but quick to defend herself. She doesn’t like confrontation, but she certainly doesn’t shy away. Valkyrie sees the word in black and white, good or bad. She can be intense, driving others away. This pains her, and she often feels alone in the world, without anyone to help her out of the spiral of negative thoughts. Striving for perfection, she is a harsh judge of herself. Struggling with the feeling of overwshelming mediocrity, Valkyrie cannot see the truth. Her grades are exceptional and people like her, but that will never be enough. She will never be enough in her own eyes. She will forever be average, paling in comparison to her peers. Hiding behind her mask of imperfection, Valkyrie seems cheery, but below her clever guise is a hurt girl longing for validation..

Sample (At least two paragraphs, in character.): Valkyrie stood, pensive. Breathing deeply she closed her eyes, memorizing the smell of the cool night air. It smelled of the coming rain and the last remnants of the cigarette hanging limply from her mouth. A dirty habit, learnt from her summers abroad, now served as a viable exit. Sighing, she dropped the cigarette and smashed it with her toe, putting out the bud. Running a hand through her long hair, Valkyrie walked the edge of the lake, lonely. She had spent her years alone, she knew the feeling, familiar with its bite. Folding her legs beneath her, she sat on the sandy ground. Throwing a pebble into the water, she lit a new cigarette. Taking a long drag, Valkyrie pondered her solitary summer. There, at home, being alone was just that, alone. At NYU, alone was lonely. Alone was empty, without the familiar feeling of solace, comfort. A crane rose over the lake, searching for prey. Leaning back, Valkyrie observed appreciatively.

Shrinking against a tree trunk, a lone tear streaked down her face. A wave of hopelessness washed over her, her cold expression faltering and falling. Replaced by helplessness, Valkyrie ran a hand through her hair, watching the water. The crane had landed, not far from where she sat. She watched as it picked its way through the water silently, hunting.

“Are you alone too?” she whispered through the night. Tears now came steadily, washing the makeup from her face. She put out her cigarette, now down to the filter. Cradling her head in her hands, Valkyrie let her emotions go. Anguish flowed through her, the teenage girl burdened by years of loneliness. Emotionally exhausted, the young girl crumpled, staring unfeeling at the water, eyes blank and void of light.

Funny how a quote from a cheesy 80’s movie about a boy who skips school one day and goes on an adventure can actually relate to our real lives and the lives of characters in a role play.

The setting is New York City, more importantly, New York University in Greenwich Village, New York in the year 2012.

The role play follows the lives of students living in the big city, many of them for the first time. They’re finding out what life after leaving the nest, whether the nest be a warm and happy home or a violent and downright shitty situation, will be like.

These kids are learning what it’s like to be on their own, what it’s like to fall in love, be heart broken, and learn to love again.

Life does move pretty fast, grab a chair and look around for a while. You can always catch up on what you’re missing tomorrow.

Character Name: Alyss del Monaco

FC: Sam Desantis

Bio: To put it simply, Alyss grew up in Montana. Her life was wonderful there; she had a loving family and great friends. There was always food on the table and adventure in the backyard. While she loved it there, she also yearned desperately to go somewhere new, somewhere bustling with life, like New York. So when both of her parents got jobs at the World Trade Center in New York, everything changed. She was about seven when they moved there. She enrolled in school, made plenty of friends, but the accident happened whenever she turned nine. The planes crashed into the Twin Towers, and with the terrorist attack came the unfortunate event of her parents’ death. She moved out of New York, back to Montana to live with her grandmother there, and that’s where she stayed, attended middle school and high school, until she at last graduated and made her return to New York to attend New York University. Things were fine with her grandmother; she did everything she could for the old woman and vice versa. This particular relative helped her get over the grieving of her parents, come to realize that their death wasn’t the end of the world, and because of her, Alyss has come to terms and is fine about the ending of her parents’ lives. Now, she’s dedicated to her studies at NYU.

Sample:
Alyss quietly stalked behind a squirrel, her camera raised to her face, and her pointer finger hovered over the shutter button, just waiting for the perfect moment to snap a shot. The sun crept through the leaves above, and for some reason the pesky little animal refused to scurry right into one of those rays of light. Those passing by her probably thought she was absolutely insane, trying to capture a picture of a squirrel, but this single picture was for a much larger project she had in mind: a collage of squirrels that in turn formed a rather gigantic picture of a squirrel. While unoriginal in a sense, it was something that she had always wanted to try and thought it might be fun just to go capturing pictures of squirrels, chasing them all about New York for the hell of it essentially. It wasn’t like the project was actually for any of her classes.

Chris Martin’s soothing voice played gently in her ears as she moved a little closer to the animal, biting her lip as she did her best to keep her camera steady. She kept the sounds of Coldplay quiet as they resonated from her iPod, thinking that if they were too loud that they would scare away the creature trying to escape the imprisonment of an everlasting photograph. Now on her knees, Alyss was pushing her luck, moving closer and closer, ready to click down the button whenever someone called out her name. With an exaggerated groan, she spun around on her knees, falling backwards into the grass; the squirrel had quickly dashed off up into a tree. Her camera rested on her chest as she stared up at the sky that was visible through the ruffling leaves of whatever type of tree was over her head, silently cursing to whatever higher power was up there. She was so close.

Sexual Orientation: Pansexual, or so she says seeing as nothing really seems to interest her or turn her on at this point

Brenton has always been the golden child of the Willoughby family, and older brother to Scarlett. He was raised to take charge, and prepared to take charge of the family business when he came of age. Now, being the ripe age of 23, he spends most of his time mentoring under his father. Although, secretly he would much rather be a painter—his hidden talent. On the outside, Brenton appears as the rough-and-tough bad boy, who’s incredibly cunning and demanding. However, to his core, he is a genuinely nice person; this side, is something he wouldn’t dream of showing to anyone…especially Regan Adamopolus, the new intern at the school’s journal. She aggravates him, but there’s something about her that draws him in.
